Something is going on, not sure what though.

Over the last year, I think hashimoto's is to blame for my roller coaster health issues.  Since being put on synthroid in 2008, I have rarely felt normal.  However, this past year has not been that good for me health wise and according to my endo, lab work looks good.

I have been dealing with the following:  ankle swelling, fatigue, seasonal allergies, ovarian cysts, menstrual cycle issues, muscle pain, itchy all over, random migraines, gastrointestinal issues and cystic acne.

In the past I was diagnosed with ibs.  Never really had allergies till last summer when my lymph nodes behind my right ear became enlarged.  I have been diagnosed in my early 20's with functional ovarian cysts.

I feel like I'm going in circles with my family doctor, endo and Obgyn.  No one helps me address what could be causing these reoccurring issues.  Family doctor just proscribes prednisone or antibiotics, endo just looks at TSH, and Obgyn says I should take bc pills to regulate my hormones.  In fact, I will always remember one Obgyn at the practice told me the symptoms I have after ovulation are because I have lots of progesterone.

Well, earlier this year I started seeing a naturopathic doctor.  Through lab work she ordered, she found I'm low in many vitamins and minerals.  My immune system is low functioning.  My progesterone is low.  I'm gluten sensitive. And my free t3 is low.

She is trying to fix this first through diet.  There is a possibility that I could receive t3 medication which would help with thyroid issues.

I don't understand why I get pushed around with medical doctors.  They seem not to care or half the time assume.  My previous Obgyn assumed my hormones were normal when in fact they are not.  Why should I keep suffering?  I shouldn't have to.

With the changes my naturopathic doctor has recommended, I feel better more days than not.  I still have days of fatigue but think it will take time.  At least I'm doing something that is positive instead nothing at all.
