My last post was in March! Wow. I thought getting some time to myself would become easier as time went on but who was I kidding :-). Nicholas these days is a little mini me acrobat. I say mini me becuase I see my independence and stubbornness in him. I am not sure where he gets the acrobat part but he loves to climb, jump, tumble, practice balance...etc, you name it he does it. How things at home has changed from then to now is that we are busier, I think. We have got this whole team work aspect down with our schedules, caring for Nick and house stuff that we have, somehow, become efficient in doing it! *high five*
We have done quite a few things over the last few months. In regard to our house, we took 2 trees down (well 1/2 a tree that was our neighbors plus our tree), updated a shed that was rotting and moldy, put new decking on our side deck (which had paint and other crapola on it that when we tried to power wash it, pieces of wood were breaking and splintering), and repainted our master bath (a big thanks to home depot.)
For family time we have done some cool things plus go on a vacation this year! In August, we went to Arrowhead Lake in the Poconos. We had our own pet friendly rental. There was only a little bit of relaxing because Nick's hyper mode was increased since it was a whole new place! We did nature walks, looked for deer, visited playgrounds, went swimming at the pools, took Lauren for walks, watched movies, and tried to get some sleep.
We also went to a rivershark's game this year, took Nicholas to the board walk (OC), discovery museum and had our first own intex pool that Nicholas enjoyed swimming in on the summer weekends!
We are looking forward to a busy fall and winter and can't wait till next spring to do more fun stuff. This fall we have Christina's wedding in New Hampshire, pumpkin picking and Halloween. Nick is going to be buzz light year, I am sure he will love this!
